Margaret Jones was enumerated in the censuses of 1850,2 of 1860,6 and of 1870, in Laurens Co., GA in the household of Young Keen.7 On 7 Aug 1878 according to the Dublin Post, a horse thief stole the horse of Mrs. Mary Keene. If this was our Mary/Margaret Jones, then she was still alive on this date. It has been said that she died in 1879, but I have found no documentation.8
