James Bickett moved to Decatur Co., GA, between 1870 and 1880. After being in Union Co. for the 1870 census, they were enumerated in the 1880 census in Decatur Co.10,11 He was enumerated in the census of 1880 in Decatur Co., GA in the household of Tressie C. Bickett (his daughter).11

James Bickett died after 1880.11 "James is buried in a Methodist Church Cemetery, where a new marker was placed at his grave in recent years by a grandson of Abel laney Funderburk, Ed G. Funderburk." Since I did not find a grandson with this name, I decided to find out just who this was. I was able to determine that it was George Edward Funderburk, a GREAT-grandson of Abel Laney. This was confirmed by a daughter of George Edward, who knew that her father had the marker placed in Brinson Cemetery.12 He was buried in Brinson Cemetery, Brinson, Decatur Co., GA.13
