Burrell J. Jinks married Martha Susan Ingram, daughter of John Spires Ingram Sr. and Nancy Jinks, on 14 Dec 1858 in Butts Co., GA.4

Burrell J. Jinks began military service on 12 Jul 1861 in Butts Co., GA, in the CSA in Company I, 14th Regiment, "Jeff Davis Rifles."5 His military service ended on 9 Apr 1865 in Appomattox, Appomattox Co., VA, with the surrender.6 Burrell was was the county surveyor, for twenty years in Butts Co., GA.7 He was enumerated as Head of Household in the census of 1880 in Butts Co., GA, with others in the household: Martha Susan Ingram (his wife and nephew.)3
