Thomas Barlow (1635-1678) emigrated from England to Isle of Wight, VA, in 1653. I have attempted to research as many of his descendants as I could find, their marriages, and the ancestors of their spouses.

Thomas was a planter in Isle of Wight, as was his son, George, and his grandson, Thomas. The next generation, Jesse, was in Warwick Co., VA. Jesse’s son, Thomas, served in the Revolutionary War, lived in Warwick and Brunswick counties, VA, Wake Co., NC, Edgefield Co., SC, and Laurens Co., GA. The next generations – Richard, James, and Simon – were in several counties in GA. Then some of Simon's sons ventured into FL.
