     On 4 Aug 1723 Henry Overstreet Sr. purchased land in Bertie Co., NC, from Lord Carteret: 150 acres on the north side of Casay (Cashie) Swamp.1

Henry Overstreet Sr. married Anne <...> before 9 Nov 1724 where a deed refers to them as Henry and Anne Overstreet.2 Between 1724 and 1735 Henry Overstreet Sr. purchased land in Bertie Co., NC, and throughout this time he also sold land.3,4,5

The family moved to Ft. Augusta, Georgia Colony, before 1739, including Henry Overstreet Jr.6 In 1746 Henry, with a wife and 4 children, was listed as an inhabitant of Augusta, Georgia. He was still listed there at the end of 1746 on A List of Persons Who Went from Europe to Georgia on Their Own Account.7,8 Henry Overstreet Sr. was awarded land, as follows: 150 acres. This was an English Crown Grant.9
